Destino: Lovaina : AMSTERDAM (part 1)

Esta entrada la quería hacer hace tiempo, pero he estado de exámenes hasta hace dos días. Además lo que vengo a contar va a ser más extenso que mis publicaciones habituales por lo que he pensado dividir esta entrada en dos partes. Por último (y como propósito para año nuevo) voy a empezar a hacer el blog en inglés y español, para que las personas que aparecen en él y no hablan español puedan leerlo. ¿Empezamos?

I wanted to write this for such a long time, but It was imposible during the exams. This is going to be the first part of what I'm going to tell you about my trip to Amsterdam. There is also a novelty in this blog, I'm going to try to write this blog in english as well, so the people who appear in this blog can also read what I talk about our trips and also because it's a good way to practice my english. I apologize for my mistakes in the future. Shall we start?

El 29 y 30 de enero nos fuimos a Ámsterdam, capital de los Países Bajos. Mis compañeros de aventuras en esta ocasión son: Xu, Carol, Ulrike, Dominique y María. En total: 2 belgas, 2 españolas y 2 chinas listos para pasarlo bien.

We went to Amsterdam the 29th and 30th of January. My colleagues are: Xu, Carol, Ulrike, Dominique and María. You can see them in the picture. In total: 2 spaniards, 2 belgians and 2 chineses ready to have fun.

Primer día / First day

Nos levantamos muy temprano el 29 para coger un autobús en dirección Ámsterdam Sloterdijk. Una vez allí cogimos el tren que nos llevaba a la ciudad y la primera parada fue el hostal. Pasamos la noche en Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark y la verdad es que quedé encantada con el sitio: muy limpio, muy barato, una habitación solo para nosotros seis y un lugar bastante céntrico donde se podía caminar a todos lados.

We woke up very early that morning and we took a bus in the direction Amsterdam Sloterdijk. When we arrived we took a train in order to go to the city center, the first thing we did was going to the hostal called Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark. I'm very pleased with the hotel: it was clean and cheap, we had a room just for the six of us and it was very good located.

A unos ocho minutos caminando se encontraba el museo Van Gogh, pero antes de entrar paramos en un restaurante llamado Small talk y me pido para comer 'kroketten op brood' (una especie de bocadillo con croquetas de carne y mostaza).

After eight minutes walking we arrived to the Van Gogh museum, but before entering we stopped in a restaurant called Small talk and I ordered a really nice 'kroketten op brood'.

Al salir paseamos un poco por las calles de la ciudad, en la plaza Leidseplein hacemos una parada para tomar chocolate caliente y quitarnos un poco el frío. Después continuamos hasta llegar a la calle donde se encuentra el banco de la película Bajo la misma estrella y, cómo no, nos hacemos una foto (gracias a Dominique por tomarla). El banco se reconoce facilmente porque la gente pone candados y escribe frases de la película como "okay? okay".

We walk the streets of the city and we make a stop in the Leidseplein square for drinking hot chocolate (it's a bit cold outside). We keep walking until we find the bench of the film The fault in our stars and we take a picture (thanks to Dominique). You can recognize the bench bacause is full of padlocks and quotes of the film like 'okay? okay'.
